Fresh law graduates should first decide whether they should enter the profession or not.

Once they decide to take up the profession, they should devote themselves fully without a second thought, Justice D.Murugesan, Judge of the Madras High Court, who has been elevated as the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, said on Monday.

At a farewell accorded by the Bench and the Bar here, Mr.Justice Murugesan also said young lawyers were the assets of the future. Their interest should be safeguarded. They should be guided by the seniors.

With the elevation of Mr.Justice Murugesan, the strength of the Madras High Court has come down to 52, against the sanctioned strength of 60. He enrolled himself as an advocate in 1975. He became a Judge of the Madras High Court on March 22, 2000.
