Senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday alleged that the naming of senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh functionary Indresh Kumar in the charge sheet filed in the Ajmer blast case was part of a conspiracy of the Congress and UPA government to defame the RSS and embarrass the BJP by framing their leaders in certain incidents.

At a press conference here, Mr. Naidu said the Congress had evolved a “3-D formula” to divert people's attention from the “massive failure” of the government, defame and destabilise the Opposition. This was happening in Gujarat where the CBI was being “misused” to defame Chief Minister Narendra Modi. “The government is silent on the ISI and violence on the RSS, soft on terrorism and hard on nationalism.”

He alleged that Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj became the main actor in the Karnataka drama by sending a “false report” to the Centre and writing a threatening letter to the Speaker. He alleged that ground was being prepared to impose President's rule in Karnataka. Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) leaders were openly saying that they would not allow the Yeddyurappa government to continue although it got a mandate from people.

Mr. Naidu said the Congress' “3-D formula” would boomerang on it and the ultimate result would be “4-D” (the 4 {+t} {+h} D representing defeat). The Congress was already out in Gujarat and would be routed in Bihar too.
