NEW DELHI: Two of the expelled Lok Sabha members - Narendra Kumar Kushwaha of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Manoj Kumar of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) - on Tuesday moved the Delhi High Court challenging Parliament's decision to expel them from the House in the cash-for-query case.

In their separate petitions, the two former MPs submitted that they were not given an opportunity to defend themselves in the matter. The petitions are likely to come up for hearing in a couple of days.

The Union of India, the Union Ministry of Law and Justice, Privileges and Ethics Committee, Lok Sabha, the Pawan Bansal Committee and the Lok Sabha Speaker through the Lok Sabha Secretariat have been listed as respondents in the two petitions.
