The Inspector General of Registration on Thursday instructed the Sub-Registrar offices to function on January 28, a government holiday, to enable all registrants to avail of the benefits of Samadhan scheme. An official release said that the scheme, which came into force on November 2011, would close on January 31, 2012.
Hence the registrants, whose documents are pending release or have been referred for determination of market value have been requested to approach the concerned Sub-Registrar offices before January 31 and avail of the scheme concession to get their documents released.
The registrants have been asked to pay two-thirds of the difference of stamp duty and registration fees arrived at based upon the stamp duty to be paid as per the guideline value and paid as per the value adopted by the registrant in the document.
While asking the registrants not to believe rumours, he said that the scheme would not be extended beyond January 31.
