With high land costs and demand for space in the prime areas, Coimbatore’s skyline is getting better as promoters are getting into skyscrapers.
Since land availability is becoming scarce in the prime locations of the city, those who want to live close to the core business area are finding it difficult to find residential units in these locations.
In an effort to meet the housing demand of buyers who want to live close to the business hubs of the city, Globuse Realtors, a company that is into real estate for the last 13 years, is entering the residential segment with a 322-house project at Ponnaiahrajapuram. What makes the project different is that it will have three towers, each with 18 storeys.
V. Sivakumar, Managing Director of Globuse Realtors Private Limited, says that Globus Nakshatra will come up on a four acre plot but occupy just 28 per cent of the area. The rest will be developed to have jogging track and other common amenities.
The project will have 76 single bedroom houses (600 sq.ft. each) and 246 two and three bedroom houses of 1,400 to 1,850 sq.ft. each. With an investment of Rs. 150 crore, the project wants to provide luxury living space in a developed residential neighbourhood.
Each house will have air-conditioner, modular kitchen, imported marbles and branded accessories apart from 24-hour power back-up. Priced in the Rs. 1 crore bracket, each house has been designed to have a lot of ventilation, he said.
Each tower will have three lifts – two for the residents and one to move materials. The elevators will operate at two levels - from ground floor to ninth floor and from ninth floor to the 18th.
The project will also have a 20,000 sq.ft. club house and 10 guess rooms. The car park space will be able to accommodate 400 vehicles. The company launched the project recently and will complete it in three years. The model house has been constructed at the site.
