Pingar, the New Zealand data management solutions firm, which set up its office in Bangalore in June last year, will enter the Indian data management solutions market in partnership with CMC Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services.

Benefits

This is Pingar's first partnership in India, where CMC will integrate Pingar's solutions into its applications, the companies announced at a press meet here Friday. The solutions will help enterprise clients manage unstructured data, and help improve business process optimisation, quality and collaboration.

Role

At present, Pingar's Bangalore office has 11 employees working on software development and testing, and plans are on to expand, company representatives said.

Karthi Madhavan, delivery centre head, CMC, said the company will play the role of a “reseller channel and integrator” for the New Zealand-based firm.

“Its technological ability to integrate with existing enterprise systems and extend their capabilities to gain efficiencies and strategic knowledge from unstructured data represents a rich area of value to our customers,” he said.

Planning to expand

Peter Wren-Hilton, CEO of Pingar, added that being platform-agnostic made it easy to integrate their technology into any enterprise data management solution. He added that the company is looking to expand its presence in India in the data management segment.

Apart from several representatives from the New Zealand trade office, legendary cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee was present at the event.
