Prime Minister Nehru told the Lok Sabha on March 3 that the Government of India had made it clear to the U.N. representative Dr. Graham in their recent talks with him in New Delhi that Pakistan would have to vacate her aggression in Kashmir. They had also expressed the hope that the United Nations representative and the Security Council would take necessary action for the “rectification” of the violations of the ‘cease-fire agreement’ by Pakistan. “So far as the Government and the people of India are concerned,” said Mr. Nehru, “they have fully complied with and continue to adhere to the provisions of the Security Council resolution of January 17, 1948, Part I of the UNCIP resolution of August 13, 1948, and the ‘cease-fire agreement’, the provisions of which have been consistently violated by Pakistan during the last ten years."
