Mr. Henry Noel Brailsford, noted author, journalist and a staunch friend of India in her freedom struggle, died in hospital in London on March 23. He was a regular contributor to the columns of The Hindu in the days of the Freedom struggle and his writings were marked by a sense of fairness and justice in the cause of Indian nationalism.

Mr. Brailsford was a veteran Socialist and was also an active campaigner for women’s right to vote from 1910 onwards and was an authority on Middle East questions.
