Dr. B.V. Keskar, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, on January 31 indicated the possibility of a regular television centre being set up in the country at an early date. Dr. Keskar, who was formally inaugurating the new building of All India Radio, Poona, said the present television centre at Delhi was an experimental one. It was confined to educational and cultural activities and its scope was limited because of the vast complications connected with television and also in view of the acute foreign exchange position.
