The nine-man Committee set up by the Congress to consider the question of bifurcation of bilingual Bombay, which met on December 2 at the residence of Mr. G.B. Pant, Home Minister, it is learnt, has more or less decided to recommend to the Congress Working Committee that the present Bombay State should be divided into Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Committee will meet for a short while on December 3 to finalise its recommendations to be submitted to the Working Committee which is meeting on December 3.
