Wildfires ravage Australia

Smoke on the water:A bushfire burns near Green Point in New South Wales, Australia on Tuesday. Fire-fighters battled scores of wildfires in south-eastern Australia as authorities evacuated national parks. Temperatures soared to 45 degrees Celsius in some areas. No deaths have been reported, but 20,000 hectares of forests and farmland across southern Tasmania and over 30,000 hectares in New South Wales have been scorched.— Photo: AFP
