Kathmandu: Nepal's Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Monday sought clarification from the Army Chief about his reported meeting with King Gyanendra. Army chief Rukmangad Katuwal called on Mr. Koirala at the Prime Minister's residence here, where the latter questioned him about his meeting with the king, Kantipuronline reported. Army spokesman Ramindra Chhetri said it was a routine meeting as Mr. Koirala also holds the portfolio of the Defence Minister, but denied any talks between Katuwal and the monarch. ``Media reports about the meeting [with king] are false, baseless and fabricated. This is just a propaganda by some vested interest group to damage the army's relation with the people,'' he told PTI. PTI
