Caracas (Venezuela): Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has vowed that his country would win a seat on the U.N. Security Council, but accused Washington of waging ``a dirty war'' against Venezuela in a last ditch effort to prevent it from defeating U.S.-backed Guatemala. ``Go forth with the bayonet! Venezuela is going to the Security Council,'' Mr. Chavez said on Sunday, encouraging the country's ambassador to the United Nations, Francisco Arias Cardenas, on the eve of the vote. Mr. Chavezhas repeatedly warned that Washington could attempt to drag on the October 16 vote for weeks or even years if neither candidate garners the required two-thirds majority.
