FARNBOROUGH (U.K.): The security along India’s over 7,400-km frontier with Pakistan and Bangladesh could soon go hi-tech, with the Border Security Force (BSF) in talks with a leading U.S. firm to instal an electronic monitoring system. The system is likely to help India in tackling major concerns of illegal migrants from Bangladesh, besides infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir.

The BSF and the U.S. security systems major Raytheon are discussing the possibility of having an electronically operated, sensor-based border security system and has started exploring other international products on offer. — PTI
