‘Sankranti Sambaralu’ was celebrated with gaiety and grandeur at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan. The festival of harvest on the school premises saw many students in traditional attires; a colourfully decked ox, theme-based ‘muggulu’, ‘Bhogi mantalu’ and ‘Haridas Keerthana’, among others.

Bhaswanna Narthana and Burra Katha performed by a team of students marked the day’s celebrations. As part of the programme, ‘chakkara pongali’ and traditional ‘pindivantalu’ were prepared. Director of the school Ch. Vasu Prakash appreciated the efforts taken by the students to keep the traditions alive and wished them that such celebrations would remain as long cherished moments in their lives.
