The Montessori section of Ryan International School, Kundanahalli, celebrated Children’s Day. The tiny tots were excited to see their principal and teachers singing songs, and staging dance performances and animated skits. The little ones felt special as they were involved in cake cutting and attractive cards given to them.
Students of Ganga International and PU College, Nelagadaranahalli, have brought laurels to the institution by bagging many prizes at the zonal interschool cultural competition ‘Pratibha Karanji’.
They have also been selected for the State-level competitions. The winners were also felicitated by the management recently.
Candor International School, Electronics City, held sports day with a pledge to support the green movement in the city. As part of the celebrations, parents were invited to support the initiative ‘green Candor’ by planting saplings for their children.
Over 30 saplings were planted and each sapling was tagged with their child’s name.
There was also a variety of sporting events including track and field events, aerobics, yoga, and other programmes.
Winners of various events were given medals and certificates on the occasion.
Mitra Academy, Arakere, felicitated two students who excelled at national level competitions. Shravya Manjunath, a student of Class VI, won the Doodle 4 Google Competition. ‘Unity in diversity’ was the theme of the competition. Shravya’s Doodle represented the different dance forms of India united by a common culture and tradition. She titled her work ‘unity in dance disperses vibrant colours’. She was guided by school’s art teacher Shravan. She received the prize at a function held in New Delhi.
Vasudha A.N., a student of Class VIII, won the third prize in the national level art competition organised by the Association of Schools for Indian School Certificate in Madurai.
She won the prize in the junior category and the theme was ‘monsoon at its best’.
The cricket team of Florence Public School, R.T. Nagar, bagged the runners up prize in the under 16 tournament conducted by DYCA. Siddarth Choradia was declared the best batsman, while Adarsh Gowda was chosen the best bowler.
