Governor of Tamil Nadu K. Rosaiah unveiled the statue of the saint-poet Thiruvalluvar in the City of Destiny. The committee members of Tamil Kalai Mandram (who organised the function) have been contributing to society through various forums for more than 100 years, he said. He said that Tamilians were able to gel well with other communities in an inclusive manner.
On a humorous note, citing the example of the present Governors of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, chairman of AP State Hindi Academy Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad said that the relation between Tamilians and Telugu people is like ‘idly-sambar’ that go well with each other.
