Little ones at the Jubilee Hills Kindergarten School celebrated Sankranti, the festival of harvest o the school campus recently. It was colours all the way - from a dais decorated with colourful ‘rangoli’ and kites, to the gathering, dressed in their colourful best.
Everything about the celebrations was aimed at showcasing the importance of ‘Bhogi’, ‘Sankranti’ and ‘Kanuma’, and the crowning glory was a dance performance presented by tiny tots of the pre-primary sections. Different facets of the festival – ‘Bhogi mantalu’, ‘gobbemmalu’ on ‘rangoli’, Haridasu blessing children, ‘Bhogipallu’, ‘Bommalukoluvu’ and children flying kites.
M. Varalakshmi, Prinicpal of Jubilee Hills Public School congratulated the students and Teachers for putting up a beautiful show and wished them all a ‘Happy Sankranti’.
