CSKM school celebrates Founder’s Day

CSKM Public School celebrated the 83{+r}{+d}birth anniversary of its founder chairman, Colonel P. S. Satsangi, recently. The programme started with lighting of the traditional lamp by chief guest Prof. M. M. Pant, a renowned scientist, and by the guest of honour, Captain Ram Parvesh Kumar.

The seventh Colonel P. S. Satsangi Memorial Lecture was delivered by Prof. Pant on “Every child …… a winner”. The speech centred on the importance of creativity and innovation to provide a good environment for young learners. He emphasised that using lessons learnt at school to solve real life problems was real education. Prof. Pant told the teachers to encourage students to ask “good questions” and to create such an environment as to bring out their hidden talents.

‘Guru Katha’ by tiny tots

Nursery students of St. Paul’s School presented “Guru Katha” – a play about the life and times of Guru Nanak. Their parents as well as the school principal Rachel Thomas, chairman Philip M. Samuel and Vice -Principal Shipra Kumar were also present. Along with the play, there was also a power-point presentation and a dance.
