Bal Bharati School celebrates Annual Day

Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura, celebrated its 27th Annual Day this past Sunday. The event was marked by scintillating performances by the school students. Through a ballet, the tiny-tots propagated the message “You can fly, only if you try”. The different leelas from the life of Lord Krishna were also depicted by the students.

Delhi Government Director (Education) Amit Singla was the chief guest on the occasion.

The function ended with the prize distribution ceremony.

A theatre with a message

Delhi Public School organised its annual cultural extravaganza “Kirti Dhawaj Ravana” this past month.

The theatrical drama was aimed at conveying values like humility, modesty and devotion to the children. Students from Classes VI to XII participated in the event. The audience was mesmerized by the performance.

Ghaziabad Development Authority vice-chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav graced the occasion, while M. C. Sharma, Controller of Examination of Central Board for Secondary Education, was the guest of honour. Headmistress Kala Nagarkoti brought the curtain down with the vote of thanks.

DPS plays host to German students, teachers

Delhi Public School here hosted a delegation of students and teachers from a German school under its foreign exchange programme with the “Friedrich-Ruckert Gymnasium” school in Germany. Both schools are working on a global project “Alternative sources of energy”. In this regard, the German delegation along with their Indian counterparts met Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah. The team also got to meet Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
