What is Qwikipedia?

Ever been on Wikipedia to look up an article? More often than not, we start with one topic, click a few links and within no time are reading about something else.

Qwikipedia is a game that tries to quench this curiosity in us. The objective is to get to a particular wiki page, starting from a specific article, using minimal clicks. There is no single correct answer, so we might surprise ourselves by finding new routes each time!

Niagara Falls —> Bumblebee

Niagara Falls

This horseshoe shaped waterfall is among the most famous waterfalls in the world. But did you know that Niagara falls actually consists of three falls? From largest to smallest, they are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, and the Bridal Falls. The falls are famous for their beauty as well as a source of hydroelectric power. The geographical location of falls is interesting, as it is located on the Canada-United States border.

The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American and Bridal Veil lie on the American Side. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but has long been in dispute.

Canada- United States border

The border between these two countries in North America is the longest international border shared between the same pair of countries. It is officially called the International Boundary, and includes land boundaries as well as water boundaries. It is Canada’s only land border. The first border established was between Quebec in Canada and New York state in the U.S.

In 1925, the International Boundary Commission was made a permanent organization responsible for surveying and mapping the boundary, maintaining boundary monuments, and works on an annual budget of about U.S $1.4 million.

It is the largest province in Canada, and is the only one which has a predominantly French speaking population. It also has the most number of people, and the population is concentrated in urban areas near the Saint Lawrence River. Independence debates have played an important role in the region and in 2006, a motion was passed recognizing "Québécois as a nation within a united Canada." The official bird of the region is the snowy owl. The official insect chosen was the White Admiral butterfly, over the Spotted lady beetle, and Ebony Jewelwing damselfly, a species of bumble bee.

The bumblebee has been a memorable character in many animated movies including Bee Movie. These insects are characterized by black and yellow body hairs, often in bands. There are over 250 species, located mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. They feed on nectar and are often used by farmers to pollinate plants. Bumblebees form colonies, which are usually much less extensive than those of honey bees. It is now an endangered species in some regions due to habitat destruction and use of pesticides.

So the path that we have traversed today is:
