What is Qwikipedia?

Ever been on Wikipedia to look up an article? More often than not, we start with one topic, click a few links and within no time are reading about something else.

Qwikipedia is a game that tries to quench this curiosity in us. The objective is to get to a particular wiki page, starting from a specific article, using minimal clicks. There is no single correct answer, so we might surprise ourselves by finding new routes each time!

Andrea Pirlo

It is an honour to play for your country in any sport. And when you can do that on a consistent basis, be one of the players whom the entire nation looks up to, and notch up a 100 appearances, then definitely you are among the best in the trade. Andrea Pirlo belongs to that category, having appeared for the 100th time for Italy in their Confederations Cup opener against Mexico this week.

An Italian footballer born on May 19, 1979, Pirlo plays for Juventus at the club level. Be it for club, or for country, Pirlo is usually deployed in a playmaker’s role in the midfield. He has scored 13 goals for Italy in his 100 appearances, including the goal against Ghana at the AWD-Arena, Hanover, Germany, when Italy went on to win the World Cup in 2006, and his free kick against Mexico in the Maracana stadium on Sunday.

Hanover is one of the major centres in northern Germany and is quite popular for its annual trade fairs like the Hanover Fair and CeBIT (computer expo). Points of interest in Hanover include Niki de Saint Phalle’s Grotto , Remy de la Fosse’s two pavilions, the Orangerie and the Gallery Building .

Niki de Saint Phalle

A French sculptor, painter and film maker, Niki de Saint Phalle was born on October 29, 1930 and passed away on May 21, 2002. Some of her popular works include the Tarot Garden in Tuscany, Italy that contains sculptures of the symbols found on Tarot cards and Queen Califia’s Magic circle (picture) in California, her only American sculpture garden.

Tarot cards, usually numbering 78, are a pack of playing cards that was initially used to play a number of card games. From the late 18th century, however, mystics and occultists have used it as a means to map mental and spiritual pathways.
