What is Qwikipedia?

Ever been on Wikipedia to look up an article? More often than not, we start with one topic, click a few links and within no time are reading about something else. Qwikipedia is a game that tries to quench this curiosity in us.

The objective is to get to a particular wiki page, starting from a specific article, using minimal clicks. There is no single correct answer, so we might surprise ourselves by finding new routes each time!

George H.W. Bush

George H.W. Bush is a prominent American politician who has served both as the Vice President(1981-1989) and the President of the United States(1989-93). This 88-year old Republican, is currently the oldest surviving former president.

After the Pearl Harbour was attacked in 1941, Bush got enrolled in the U. S. Navy on his 18th birthday and created history by becoming the youngest aviator at the time.

U.S. Navy

The United States Navy is part of the United States Armed Forces. It is also one of the seven uniformed services of the country. It has the credit of being both the largest navy in the world and the largest carrier fleet.

The constitution of the country has entitled the Congress to provide and maintain the navy. In the 1812 Quasi-War with France, the U.S Navy was victorious and drove the British forces off Lake Erie and Lake Champlain.

Lake Erie

Lake Erie is one of the Five Great Lakes of North America. It is surrounded by Ontario in the north, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York in the south and Michigan to the west.

This lake gets its name after the Eric tribe of the Native Americans. Lake Erie is a great source of hydroelectric power to Canada and the U.S. Kite surfing is becoming a very popular sport on this lake.

Kite Surfing

Kite surfing is a surface water sport which is also sometimes referred to as kite boarding. This sport combines the aspects of wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding and gymnastics.

A kitesurfer uses the power of the wind and a power kite to move across water on a kiteboard. The different styles of this sport are freestyle, freeride, downwinders, speed, wave-riding etc.
