What is Qwikipedia?
Ever been on Wikipedia to look up an article? More often than not, we start with one topic, click a few links and within no time are reading about something else. Qwikipedia is a game that tries to quench this curiosity in us.
The objective is to get to a particular wiki page, starting from a specific article, using minimal clicks. There is no single correct answer, so we might surprise ourselves by finding new routes each time!

Leukaemia —> World Trade Center
Leukaemia is characterised by an unusual increase in white blood cells called “blasts”, which are still immature. Also spelt as Leukemia (in American English), the word is derived from Ancient Greek in which leukos means white and haima means blood. A type of cancer of the bone marrow or the blood, the term is loosely associated with a wide range of diseases.
Chemotherapy, radiation therapy and bone marrow transplant are methods used to treat patients suffering from this disease. Recently, U.S. doctors have saved the life of a seven-year-old girl suffering from leukaemia by using a genetically modified form of the HIV virus which turned the girl’s immune system to a superior force.
Irish playwright and co-founder of the London School of Economics, George Bernard Shaw is believed to have once said that “The United States and Great Britain are two countries separated by a common language”. You couldn’t get it any better. Though most people in America speak English, it is distinctly different from the way the British speak it.
American English is a set of dialects of the English language used predominantly in the United States of America. American English and British English differ at various levels, be it phonetics, vocabulary and sometimes even in grammar.
United States of America
The United States of America is a country in North America that is seen as a superpower throughout the world.
Owing to large scale immigration, it is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the entire world.
Apart from being multicultural, it is also a leading economic, political and cultural force in the current scenario and plays an instrumental role in shaping international affairs.
World Trade Center
The World Trade Center is a site for many buildings in Lower Manhattan, New York, USA. The original structure included a complex of seven buildings, the most prominent of which were the twin towers.
While the twin towers were destroyed by the September 11 terror attacks (four coordinated suicide attacks upon New York and Washington D.C on September 11, 2001 by Islamist militant group al-Qaeda), most other buildings were also damaged.
The site is now being rebuilt with five skyscrapers and a memorial for the victims of the attack. Giant steel pieces for the crowning spire (structure on top of the building) of the tallest building in this reconstructed World Trade Center arrived on Tuesday on a barge, as they were too big to be driven in.
So the path that we have traversed today is:
Leukaemia —> American English —> United States of America —> World Trade Center
Hop over. Its time for tomorrow’s question:
