Cadets of the National Cadet Corps assembled on Wednesday morning at their grounds in Lawspet to emphasise the need to conserve energy. To drive their point home, they took out a rally carrying placards and chanting slogans to raise awareness amongst the people.

Close to 200 cadets from the 1(P) Independent Company of the NCC turned up, which was flagged off by the Administrative Officer of the Group Headquarters S.N. Sinha. It is part of the NCC’s endeavour to create awareness on issues. Conserving energy can be done through simple measures at home like switching off lights and appliances could help the future generations.

The rally started at the NCC Headquarters to Ellaipillaichavady, Kokku Park, Rajiv Gandhi Signal, Kottupalayam, Latha Steel, Pettichetty Pet and back to the headquarters via the airport. The rally started at 9 am and ended at 11.45 pm.
