Kannada litterateur Devanoor Mahadeva, pioneer in Kannada computing K.P. Rao, practitioner of shadow leather puppetry Belagal Veeranna, singer B.K. Sumitra and former cricketer Brijesh Patel are among the eight persons selected for the ‘Nadoja’, which is equivalent to an honorary D. Litt degree.
