JHPS bags national school sanitation award

Good schools need good students and good students need good sanitation. Sanitation is at the core of human dignity and human progress.

Jubilee Hills Public School has been conferred with The First National School Sanitation Award 2012 for attaining ‘Blue Category’ under the National School Sanitation Rating 2012.

The Union Minister for Human Resource Development, M. M. Pallam Raju, presented the award to M. Varalakshmi, principal of the school. A memento and a cash award of Rs. 60,000 was presented to her. Recognising the significance of sanitation and the role of students as agents of change, the Central Board of Secondary Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Urban Development, launched the National School Sanitation Initiative in 2009.
