Flintoff takes 2–36 on

return to cricket

Andrew Flintoff was smashed for a four and six in his first two balls on returning to competitive cricket but the former England captain recovered to take 2–36 in his four overs.

The former England all-rounder was not required to bat at No. 8 as his Lancashire side beat Worcestershire by 50 runs in the domestic T20 Blast North Division at New Road on Sunday.

The 36-year-old Flintoff, who played 79 tests and 141 one-day internationals for England, retired in 2010 after a string of injuries.AP
