One person suffered serious burns in a fire which broke out in the 15-storey Himalaya House building, which houses corporate offices, on the busy Kasturba Gandhi Marg in central Delhi on Monday.

A fire officer said that the blaze was doused only five hours after it broke out at 6.20 a.m. Monday.

The fire broke out on the third floor of the building and spread to floors above, reaching the seventh floor.

Around 32 fire tenders were pressed into service.IANS
