The Brooklyn Nets showed plenty of fight in their emotionally and physically-charged contest against the Boston Celtics.

Joe Johnson scored 18 points, Andray Blatche had 17 with 13 rebounds and the visiting Nets dropped the Celtics 95-83 on Wednesday night.

Elsewhere, Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Houston Rockets 120-98 and LA Clippers ended a four-game skid with a 101-95 win over Minnesota Timberwolves 95.

New York Knicks thumped Milwaukee Bucks 102-88 and Memphis Grizzlies extended their franchise-best start and NBA-leading record to 11-2 getting past Toronto Raptors 103-82.

Chicago Bulls sent the struggling Dallas Mavericks to their third straight loss 101-78, Atlanta Hawks withstood a late barrage to escape the visiting Charlotte Bobcats 94-91 and the Washington Wizards held off Portland Trail Blazers 84-82.

Detroit Pistons demolished the Phoenix Suns 117-77, San Antonio Spurs raged past Orlando Magic 110-89 and Utah Jazz handed the New Orleans Hornets their eight loss in nine games 96-84.DPA
