“Ever After City: Delicious suspense flooded Fairy Land as a mysterious visitor, who captured the Prince’s undivided attention at the Grand Ball, inexplicably left the scene at the stroke of midnight. All she left behind of herself was a glass slipper on the stairs outside the palace...”
This is the beginning of a news report for a national daily. Complete it by speaking to eye-witnesses (namely, the other princesses who attended the Ball), the organisers, the security guards and the Prince (if he’s willing to comment) on the events that unfolded during the course of the evening. Use their responses to paint a picture of the mysterious visitor for your readers. Make sure you answer the questions: what, where, when, why and how in your report. Come up with a name for your newspaper, the date of the issue and a pen name for yourself.
