Children’s Day celebrated

The district police organised an entertainment programme to mark the Children’s Day on Wednesday in which children of the police personnel performed at the well-decorated Armed Reserve Police Grounds here. As many as 100 children participated in events held throughout the day. Superintendent of Police V. Balakrishnan and his team had listed out the events for different categories of the wards. Many parents also participated.

The evening witnessed a talk by a paediatrician who spoke on the need for healthy living and the features of a nutritious diet. Many girl children posed queries on health issues such as dengue fever. A lecture on morals followed. The speaker stressed on good behaviour and attitude.
