Telecom incubator Startup Village has kick-started the process of identifying five young talents from the State for a visit to Silicon Valley where they will get a chance to meet IT stalwarts like the founders of Facebook and Google. The initiative, ‘SV Square’ meaning ‘Startup Village to Silicon Valley’ was launched by venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani on the Startup Village campus in Kalamassery on Wednesday. The competition requires school and college students to upload on YouTube, a two to three-minute video on their innovative ideas and projects. A jury comprising Anil Gupta of IIM Ahmedabad and former Nasscom president Kiran Karnik will select the winners. Entries will be accepted on www.svsquare.in from February 1 to 10. The winners will be announced on February 15.
