Parma go seventh
Bologna and Lazio offered little entertainment as they played out a 0-0 draw on Saturday to reach the half-season mark in the Italian Serie A.
Bologna striker Ronaldo Bianchi and visiting German veteran Miroslav Klose missed the only telling chances of the game played at the Dall’Ara stadium.
The hosts had new coach Davide Ballardini on the bench after the firing of Stefano Pioli and moved two points clear of the drop zone, on 16 points from 19 games.
The Rome guests moved to ninth position on 24, with Edoardo Reja steering his second game since returning on Lazio’s bench to replace Vladimir Petkovic.
Earlier action saw Parma win 3-0 away to troubled Livorno, with Raffaele Palladino volleying in an early goal against his former team and Amauri tapping in before converting a penalty.
Parma secured an eighth unbeaten game for a tally of 26 points. They moved to seventh place as Livorno stayed last, alongside Catania, on 13 points.DPA
