BJP criticises Akhilesh’s government

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday criticised the Akhilesh Yadav government of indulging in communal and appeasement politics. Pointing out how the UP Police on a social network site had called rioters in Shamli agitating against rape of a minor girl as a ‘Hindu girl’, BJP state spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said the fact that the UP government was trying to label rape victims on religious lines was very disturbing. He also criticised the government for detaining its leader in the state assembly, Hukum Singh and legislator Suresh Rana, for intervening in the matter.IANS
