Ukraine's press on Wednesday blasted a refereeing error by Viktor Kassai (in pic) that prevented the national side equalising against England in their final qualifier match. “The officials stole Ukraine's chances of beating the English,” said a news site, accusing the Hungarian referee for “clearly not wanting to see” Ukraine's goal. Another daily said that the ‘disallowed goal leaves a bad taste’ even though Ukraine still would not have gone through to the quarterfinals.AFP
