The government on Friday said 34 complaints of irregularities in the Mid-Day Meals Scheme (MDMS) had been received in 2011. “During 2011, 34 complaints of various irregularities such as poor quality of food (9), misappropriation (9) and irregularities (16) had been received by this ministry,” Human Resources Minister of State D Purandeswari said. She said that these complaints had been forwarded to the states and Unions Territories (UTs) for further action.
