Students of Stds. V and VI of Brindavan Vidyalaya took up a bio-diversity project and set up a vermicompost pit at the school, under the guidance of the Society for Community Organisation and People's Education (SCOPE). Two separate bins were placed to sort out degradable and non-degradable waste. The degradable waste would be utilised as organic manure. The students were taught to recycle non-degradable waste to make greeting cards and pen stands. They were also taken to an organic shop to learn the health benefits of organic food processing.
