A day when Young India marched forward…
As the crowds gathered on a foggy winter morning ushering in the 61st year of India as a Republic, young India marched forward celebrating the day with dance and music.
Students of Vandana International Senior Secondary School, Dwarka, and Kamal Model Senior Secondary School, Mohan Garh, performed at Raj Path in the Republic Day parade.
Depicting the process of growth and progress, the act titled “Veeram Heen Pravahee” which means non-stop progress, was beautifully choreographed by Dilip Parihar. The performance involved 185 students from both the schools.
Celebrations for these students continued even after the parade ended.
Soon, they all gathered at Hotel Ramada Plaza in Connaught Place, New Delhi to participate in the hotel's Republic Day celebrations. Present at the event were Ashok Mittal, chairman, Ramada Plaza, Vandana Tandon, Principal, Kamal Model School, teachers and staff of the schools.
The tricolour was hoisted by Ashok Mittal followed by the National Anthem.
Children felt delighted to have performed in front of such dignitaries and called it an unforgettable experience. Vandana Tandon said, “We want to inculcate a sense of patriotism in our children. In this computer-techno world where the students have forgotten these feelings, we want our students to learn every bit of it and show it to the world”.
Urging the children to lead the nation on the path of progress, Ashok Mittal said, “They are the future of our country.
Please take a pledge against terrorism and other anti-social activities so that India may have a clean and bright future ahead”.
