Milestones bring joy to the people working in an institution. For the staff and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, National Aeronautical Laboratory (NAL) campus, it was a joyous occasion when the institution celebrated its silver jubilee recently. At the valedictory function, G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was the chief guest and he sat through the programme and enjoyed every moment of it. A. R. Upadhyaya, Director NAL and Chairman Vidyalaya Management Committee welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests of honour. It was a memorable evening for founder chairman S. R. Valluri, ex-principals, teachers and old students of the institution when their contributions to the progress of the Vidyalaya was recognised. A brief cultural programme included performance from the alumni and the audience appreciated a guitar recital by Benny Prasad. The students of primary section danced to the tunes of "So long farewell" from the movie Sound of Music. "The Vidyalaya has carved a niche for itself as one of the best KVs in the region and we look forward to the golden jubilee celebration," said principal D. Venkatesh.
