The 20th edition of The Hindu Young World Painting Competition is here. Get ready with your paints and crayons and let your imagination run riot.

It's time to bring colour into your lives. The Hindu Young World painting competition is here. This year, the competition will be conducted in 15 centres. On November 26, the competition will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. On November 27 it will be held in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Hubli and New Delhi.

There will be no entry fee or entry form for participation.

If you wish to participate please send your paintings on a white drawing sheet (26 x27 cms).

There are two classifications – Juniors (Stds. IV to VII) and Seniors (Stds. VIII to X).

Entries will be accepted at The Hindu's offices in 15 competition centres. The entries must reach the centre by November 17. Selected participants will be sent letters with details of venue and time.

MIOT Hospitals (CHIME) is the title sponsor and Amrutanjan Relief Cough and Cold is the national sponsor.

Apart from the first, second and third prizes there will be consolation prizes too. The all India winner from the junior and senior categories will be selected from the winning entries of all 15 centres.

The best three paintings will be engraved in the cover/lid of Amrutanjan products.
