The House of Commons in the U.K. has passed a bill to “increase from 28 days to 42 days, the period for which a terror-suspect may be held without charge”. The Joint Committee on Human rights is crying foul, just like Don Quixote de Lamancha was attacking windmills in the name of the Queen.Terrorists are abnormal people with deep-rooted prejudices. Any law, which is meant for the law-abiding common man, is not suitable to deal with these perverts. Hence, we need strong and draconian laws: 42 days detention is one of them. Such tough laws are necessary to ensure terrorists do not get free using loopholes in the law.
