I cultivate some local tomato crops in my 34 cents land. But I find that some worms bore into the fruits and make them unfit for consumption. Is there any easy and eco friendly method to control it?
The problem you have mentioned seems to be fruit borer infestation. This infestation is a common occurrence in tomato and brinjal crops. Farmers all over the country use either chemical sprays or organic methods to control this menace as it causes severe yield loss if left unchecked. Grind about one kg of garlic bulbs into a paste and dilute it in about 100 litres of water. Add 250 ml of kerosene to this and spray over the crops.
