Can Tulsi leaves be used to ward off pests and insects from crops? How to use it?

N. Murthy

For an acre take about quarter kg of fresh leaves and soak them in water overnight. Next day, grind them into a fine paste and mix it well in about 9 litres of diluted water. Add some khadi soap solution to it and spray. Since Tulsi is a medicinal herb it wards of flying insects and pests. But the procedure is not a permanent solution and should be repeated as and when the infestation is noticed.
