With the success of its auction in January, the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has planned another auction of its plots from April 27.
Though the last auction was in five layouts, including Kurmannapalem and Kapuluppada, the outskirts of the city, the mainstay was Ozone Valley at Paradesipalem in which plots were developed in land-pooling by taking farmers' land and giving them a part of the developed land.
Of the 155 plots put up for auction, 121 were in Ozone Valley.
This time the auction is for plots in Cyber Valley at Madhurawada, named so because of its proximity to the IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
After earmarking plots for the economically weaker sections, a total of 145 plots will come under the hammer.
As against the upset price of Rs.8,000 a square yard at Ozone Valley, the present auction has an upset price of Rs.12,000.
