The temple town of Tripunithura is no more a sleepy town. It bears all the characteristic features of a bustling metro. Even till the late nineties, Tripunithura wore a rustic look with a cluster of temples, churches and plenty of traditional homes that were largely characterised by tiled roofs. But, in a span of past one decade, the landscape and architecture of the place have taken a total turnaround. Perhaps, the flagship appellation of Tripunithura, home to the erstwhile rulers of Kochi, could be the fact that it’s always regarded as a peaceful haven for relaxed living. Even though it still has some reminiscences of its royal past, this satellite town, tucked away on the eastern suburbs of Kochi, has embraced everything that paves for a comfortable urban life. From the amenities point of view, Tripunithura has all the public utilities that one can desire for. Be it places of worship (it’s truly found here in abundance), educational institutions, departmental stores, fast food joints, garment stores and hospitals are there within easy accessible distance from any part of this town.
In recent years, plenty of high rises have come up here. Almost all renowned builders in Kerala have their projects in and aroundTripunithura. “It’s one of the most preferred residential locations in Kochi today”, remarks Mathews, a real estate consultant in Kochi and he is quick to add that any property, be it villas or apartments, if it’s in Tripunithura, it will have ready takers. Connectivity is yet another factor that enhances the face value of this place. Kakkanad, the ‘Silicon Valley’ of Kochi is well within single digit distance from Tripunithura. It’s the pivotal Seaport-Airport Road that connects Tripunithura with Kakkanad. Besides, both the airport and sea port are also easily accessible from here. And the much celebrated Kochi Metro also has chosen Tripunithuraas its terminal station. “Tripunithura still retains its old world charm to a large extent and one can savour the relaxed atmosphere of the place”, quips Rajiv who hails from North Kerala and works for an IT firm in Kochi. Skyline Builders has come up with a new community project in Tripunithura, catering exclusively to the upmarket home seekers. Sprawled across 12.5 acres in the heart of the town, this garden bungalow project is named Skyline Ranch. Dotted around a central park, the project is a cluster of 71 super luxury villas. The project is fast progressing and a fully loaded bungalow is showcased for prospects and visitors. 4 acres of common area, wide paved avenues with sidewalks, an 8,500 sq. ft. club house, extensive tropical landscaping are the unique features of this project. With a starting price of 1.2 crores the Skyline Ranch is clearly earmarked for the elite few.
