The foundation stone for development of infrastructure for a residential layout at Uppal Bhagat was laid this week. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority had acquired 761 acres of land here in the year 2005 and the government approved for allotment of 1,000 square yards of developed area per acre of the affected land in the acquisition for the farmers towards compensation.

The layout development cost is to be shared in proportion to the land allotted to the Hyderabad Metro Rail (146 acres) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (108 acres).
