Universal Music appoints new head
Leading music company Universal Music has appointed Vinit Thakkar as the new head of digital in India. He will be responsible for consolidating and growing Universal's digital business in India and SAARC.
“The digital business for UMGI is one of the most critical parts of the music business and I am very pleased to welcome Vinit to the team. Vinit brings with him an exceptionally great and relevant background to the table with his years at Sony, Citi and Titan,” Universal Music India and SAARC countries Managing Director Devraj Sanyal said.
Changes in Toyota Kirloskar
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd has appointed Shekar Viswanathan as vice-chairman for external affairs and Sandeep Singh as chief operating officer in a management reshuffle.
Viswanathan was handling Toyota Kirloskar’s commercial operations as a deputy managing director (DMD). After the change, Singh will continue in his role as deputy managing director in charge of sales and marketing while also looking after commercial operations.
“As we expand our operations in India, we need our team to take up new roles and responsibilities,” said Hiroshi Nakagawa, managing director and chief executive of Toyota Kirloskar, a joint venture between India’s Kirloskar Group and Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp.
CA Technologies appoints Pratip Banerji as Director of Sales
IT management solutions company CA Technologies India has appointed Pratip Banerji as Director of Sales to head its BFSI (Banking and Financial Services Industry) business in India. Banerji has 23 years of experience in the IT, Telecom and System Integration domains, covering the domestic market and the European region, the company said in a release. In his current role, he will be responsible for developing the overall sales strategy to target the BFSI vertical.
“We are very pleased to have Banerji lead our BFSI vertical in India. He has extensive experience in sales and we are sure his business acumen will help drive further growth for us. He has been actively participating in some of the large core banking infrastructure rollouts with the major Indian banks and their adoption of new IT initiatives. Growth of our BFSI sales is a priority and Pratip will play a key role in making that happen,” CA Technologies, India, Vice President Sunil Manglore said. Prior to joining CA Technologies, Banerji worked with companies like Steria India, Telstra, Siemens, Apara and Xerox where he held various leadership roles.
Scope eKnowledge Centre wins at CSI Awards for Excellence
