BNP Paribas appoints Samir Bimal as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
BNP Paribas Wealth Management has appointed Samir Bimal as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Wealth Management, he was the country head of ING Private Banking in the country.
Bimal will also be the global head for onshore business, his responsibilities will include leading the wealth management unit in India and the teams located overseas to manage NRI clients’ assets invested in the country.

Deepti Sakhuja joins Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi as VP
Deepti Sakhuja has joined Everest Brand Solutions as Vice-President. Her last assignment was with Publicis Capital as AVP, Client Servicing. Sakhuja will be working closely with Everest Delhi COO Naveen Saraswat.
Sakhuja has spent 14 years in brand management across organisations such as Publicis Capital, JWT, Lowe, Bates Enterprise and McCann. She has worked across categories on leading brands such as Nestle, Perfetti, Reckitt Benckiser, Pepsi, Wills Lifestyle, Monte Carlo, Citi-Financial, Nokia and Escorts.
Ford India appoints Joginder Singh as President and Managing Director
Ford India has announced that Joginder Singh will take over as the President and Managing Director of the company from December 1. He will replace Australia-born Michael Boneham. Singh, who has been with Ford since 1980, was most recently the head of its global business services operations in Chennai. Singh’s responsibilities will include integrating operations at Ford’s upcoming Gujarat plant with the existing facility at Chennai. He will spearhead the launch of eight new products by 2015.
Max Bupa makes two new appointments
Max Bupa Health Insurance Company has appointed Sevantika Bhandari as the director marketing and Gagan Bhalla as the director development.
In their new role, Sevantika will be responsible for product portfolio management, brand, customer research, online marketing and communication while Gagan will oversee information technology, healthcare purchasing and strategic initiatives.
Sevantika and Gagan have experience spanning over a decade respectively. Sevantika has earlier been with ICICI Bank and has good experience in the financial services marketing space.
Gagan has earlier worked with Aetna and Accenture Healthcare Strategy practice and brings has expertise in the global health insurance and the healthcare sector.
TCS appoints new CFO
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, India's largest software services exporter, named Rajesh Gopinathan as CFO. TCS’ present Chief Financial Officer S Mahalingam will retire in February next year. Gopinathan, who has been with TCS since 2001, has also handled various roles across sales, strategy, business and finance.
Jindal Synfuels appoints Subrat Ratho as MD
Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) has appointed Subrat Ratho, as Managing Director of its subsidiary, Jindal Synfuels.
Ratho, a former Indian Administrative Service officer was Managing Director of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd before joining Jindal Synfuels. The company is developing Naveen Jindal-led firm's Rs. 60,000 crore coal-to-liquid project in Odisha's Angul district.
