What is CLAT? What is the pattern of the test?
CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is an all India entrance examination conducted by fourteen National Law Schools/ Universities for admissions to their programmes like LLB and LLM.
The eligibility criterion for undergraduate programmes is +2 with 50 per cent marks. For postgraduate programmes, it is LLB/ BL with 55 per cent marks.
Pattern for UG programme: The total number of marks is 200. The questions are objective type. Areas of assessment include English including Comprehension (40 marks), General Knowledge/ Current Affairs (50 marks), Elementary Mathematics (20 marks), Legal Aptitude (50 marks) and Logical Reasoning (40 marks).
